PS3 Hacked To Play Backup Games With A USB Modchip?

Thursday, August 19th, 2010 at 03:32

It’s amazing how PS3 has been holding up all these years without being hacked to play backup disks. But now a group claims that they have finally done so with an USB modchip so you can play games stored on an internal or external Harddrive.

Whether this is true or not still needs confirmation. The PSX-Scene team say they have personally verified that it does what it claims to do while many others claim it’s fake. So if you don’t mind being a lab mouse trying the USB, be sure to let us know the results.
