To compare, iPhone 4S has 8m, so is Samsung Galaxy S II; a latest click-n-shoot camera usually has 10-12m, Canon’s flagship DSLR 1DX has 18.1m, Nikon’s flagship D3X has 24.5m, but damn it this hard-as-rock, indestructible Nokia cellphone has 41m!

One thing is for sure, if you have this phone, there’s absolutely not a single point to carry a click-n-shoot camera. Perhaps a DSLR still has its way, but why carrying a click-n-shoot camera when your cellphone has way better image quality and the ability to share photos instantly?

Next time when Tim Cook introduces iPhone 5, his voice will go down and skip quickly when mentioning its resolution, and you’ll go “meh”; people will boo when Samsung Galaxy S III is released with an 8m camera. I don’t even know how click-n-shoot camera companies have enough self-respect to release anything if they don’t at least enter into a similar ball-park figure.

The questions now are: is Nokia going too far on this resolution thing? Will customers buy it just because it has superior photographic function? Will there be enough customers to even know or care about this? (Ask your friends what resolutions their cellphones have, many of them probably don’t know or aren’t sure of it).

If you are an RSS addict and you happen to have an iPhone or iPad, Reeder is a must-have. It syncs Google Reader and present it in such a beautiful way that makes reading so much easier, peaceful background, beautiful fonts, exquisite white space position, and easy operations.

For Mac users, they are lucky to get a Reeder for OSX, but there’s no Reeder for Windows. We introduced you an add-on on Firefox, called PureReader, which mimicks Reeder’s user-interface and things were good for a couple of month. Until last week Google pushed its new design of Google Reader, and everything is broken in PureReader.

Switching back to Google Reader’s original Web UI hurts my eyes so badly that I stopped reading RSS for a week. With 3000+ feeds stacking up, I’m almost desperate enough to spent $999 on a Macbook Air plus another $9.99 for Reeder.

Then came this Reeder for Chrome out of the blue, which is an add-on for Chrome that installs a theme close to the original Reeder for OSX, and it’s free. What a relief! Check it out!

Sure the chip inside is faster, the memory is larger, the battery lasts longer, but nothing exciting, nothing makes you wow.

It’s been 3 months plus a year since iPhone 4, with all the anticipating, Apple delivers only a mediocre update, even Apple knows it can’t be called iPhone 5, so there goes 4S, as in S for “Same”?

The good thing is that, you can sneak around and secretly upgrade to iPhone 4S without your good wife/gf or husband/bf knowing about it and whining for too much money wasted.

We all knew it’s a matter of time, but I never thought it would be this early, not before iPhone 5 is rumored to be released next month.

Steve Jobs has always been seen as the sole reason of Apple’s current success, and his health condition or resignation will no longer guarantee Apple’s long-term advantage over its competitors, and tomorrow’s stock price on AAPL will likely reflect that.

With Apple being one the hottest and most profitable compan and Steve Jobs being a charismatic idol among fans, the only reason for his resignation is his health condition. And I wish all the best to Steve Jobs, after all, money and fame come and go, as long as we have health, one can always come back.

Steve published his letter:

I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.

I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.

As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.

I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.

I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.

Steve Jobs Resigns as CEO of Apple

Tim Cook Named CEO and Jobs Elected Chairman of the Board

CUPERTINO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Apple’s Board of Directors today announced that Steve Jobs has resigned as Chief Executive Officer, and the Board has named Tim Cook, previously Apple’s Chief Operating Officer, as the company’s new CEO. Jobs has been elected Chairman of the Board and Cook will join the Board, effective immediately.

Jobs submitted his resignation to the Board today and strongly recommended that the Board implement its succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO.

He also headed Apple’s Macintosh division and played a key role in the continued development of strategic reseller and supplier relationships, ensuring flexibility in response to an increasingly demanding marketplace.
