41 million pixels! That beats all other smartphones, click-n-shoot cameras, and DSLR cameras (except for few Hasselblad cameras known to us).
To compare, iPhone 4S has 8m, so is Samsung Galaxy S II; a latest click-n-shoot camera usually has 10-12m, Canon’s flagship DSLR 1DX has 18.1m, Nikon’s flagship D3X has 24.5m, but damn it this hard-as-rock, indestructible Nokia cellphone has 41m!
Check out some of its amazing sample images.
One thing is for sure, if you have this phone, there’s absolutely not a single point to carry a click-n-shoot camera. Perhaps a DSLR still has its way, but why carrying a click-n-shoot camera when your cellphone has way better image quality and the ability to share photos instantly?
Next time when Tim Cook introduces iPhone 5, his voice will go down and skip quickly when mentioning its resolution, and you’ll go “meh”; people will boo when Samsung Galaxy S III is released with an 8m camera. I don’t even know how click-n-shoot camera companies have enough self-respect to release anything if they don’t at least enter into a similar ball-park figure.
The questions now are: is Nokia going too far on this resolution thing? Will customers buy it just because it has superior photographic function? Will there be enough customers to even know or care about this? (Ask your friends what resolutions their cellphones have, many of them probably don’t know or aren’t sure of it).
What do you think? Let us know below.

Back in early May Sony’s PlayStation Network (PSN) was hacked, with millions of customers information, including password and credit card information, stolen, and then a couple of weeks later when PSN was back online, it was immediately hacked again because the new PSN simply asked the users to change their passwords, and the hackers have the password-retrieving information from the 1st hacking.
Then soon, Sony Ericsson Canada’s website is hacked with customer information stolen.
And what do you know: A group called LulzSec today announced that they took about a million usernames and passwords in the US, the Netherlands and Belgium from SonyPictures.com. They actually made it available for download, to me, that’s totally not cool.
Not surprisingly, according to these hackers, all these information is not encrypted at all:
“Our goal here is not to come across as master hackers, hence what we’re about to reveal: SonyPictures.com was owned by a very simple SQL injection, one of the most primitive and common vulnerabilities, as we should all know by now,” the group wrote. “From a single injection, we accessed EVERYTHING. Why do you put such faith in a company that allows itself to become open to these simple attacks?”
Hacking a website to show off that you can and to warn the hacked website of its fragile security is one thing, using the stolen information for someone’s own profit or carelessly making it publicly available is another.
I’m sure Sony gets a message about its privacy protection is too weak, but why is Sony becoming almost like a lab test mouse to the hacking communities? Why targeting Sony? Personally, somehow I get a feeling that it has something to do with Sony being extra tough on Geohot who hacked the PS3, which might have ignited the fire of revenge from the hackers around the world.
Just my theory, what do you think?
Let us know.
P.S. If you have ever purchased anything from Sony, now is a good time to call them to delete your profile, if they can.

iOS 4.3 is finally officially released, plenty of new features. However, if you’re relying on jailbreaking and/or unlocking, once again, please hold your horses until the official jailbreaking and unlocking tools are released, hopefully soon.
Among the new features, my favourite is personal hotspot, which works like a router to allow your and your friends’ phones, iPads/tablets and laptops to go online in the wild, if your iPhone/iPad has a 3G data plan.
So why would somebody buy an iPad with 3G, if he / she already has an iPhone with 3G plan? But hey, people are rich.
See the What’s New after the break.

Yes, it’s finally here. iPhone Dev Team has just released redsn0w 0.9.7 that can jailbreak your iOS 4.2.1 on iPhone 4,iPod touch 4G and iPad.
Before, there was only tethered jailbreak tools, which requires you to connect your iOS device to a computer and do the jailbreaking procedures each and every time when you reboot your iOS device, which is not convenient at all.
With untethered jailbreaking, you only have to do the jailbreaking once and for all.
It’s still a beta, and works only the MacOSX version is available right now.
And we have to warn you iPhone users: if you rely on unlocking, please don’t hurry to upgrade to iOS 4.2.1 just yet. Please wait for PwnageTool or ultrasn0w to be released, hopefully soon.
Download redsn0w 0.9.7b1 for Mac OSX
Download iOS 4.2.1

I have been using GoodReader to read text novels for a long time, but I do not particularly like iPhone’s system fonts for reading, so I want to add some extra fonts to iPhone’s font library and use it in any app that can utilize iPhone’s system fonts.
After hours of digging in Google and various forums, a solution has been found and here’s how you can add your preferred fonts to iPhone, tested on iPhone 4 iOS 4.1.
So here we go:

You may have the coolest 3DTV in the world, but the minute you wear that ugly 3D glasses of yours, you’ll become the lamest person in the world, right there in front of your friends. Knowing this, LG hired designers to design non-ugly 3D glasses for you, to be released in CES 2011.
The 3D glasses are designed by Alain Mikli, a highly regarded designer of eyeglasses. Aside from its much, much more appealing looks than traditional 3D glasses, it is built out of “select metals,” and featuring a co-patented nose bridge and perfect weight balancing for the utmost in user comfort.
If you’re going to CES next month, you will get a chance to play with it.
Check out more images after the break.

iPhone 4 unlockers are not left in the dark after the Dev Team released ultrasn0w 1.2 for iPhone 3G/3GS: they are working hard to unlock iPhone 4 baseband 02.10.04, and it looks like there will be good news soon.
As Geo Hot tweeted:

The Dev Team released ultrasn0w 1.2 that unlocks all iPhone 3G/3GS. If your iPhone has a baseband later than 05.13.04, It requires your iPhone to recycle an older but higher baseband, 06.15.00, from iPad. The catch is that you will never be able to downgrade, which also voids your warranty. This does not work on iPhone 4, so iPhone 4 users have to wait a little longer.
The Dev Team found an exploit hole on iPad firmware 3.2.2 with baseband 06.15.00; since iPhone 3G/3GS uses “the exact same baseband chip” as iPad, this exploit will work on iPhone 3G/3GS, if the iPhone is using baseband 06.15.00.
